Restaurant Ownership & Promotions

Placebook Guide was first inspired by the 60-year history of our famous family-owned Italian Inn Restaurants that spanned its legacy of experiences to the Fort Worth community from 1953 to 2013.

These Restaurants brought many memories to their patrons and lasted a lifetime with hundreds of memorable comments still posted on local Social Media sites today.

 

As previous Restaurant Owners, we know Innovative promotions are key to the longevity of any Restaurant, more important than ever today with Mobile Social Networks & Review Sites.

We discovered that 2 for 1 or "Specialties for 2" not only act as an incentive, they also act as an enhancement to the overall experience, as they feel special therefore, more apt to return & possibly become regular customers.

In helping Fine Restaurants make connections with their patrons through email Marketing in Orange County Ca in 2001 & Reward Card Programs in 2010, we found patrons want to be connected to their favorite Restaurants & were most likely to give good reviews due to that connection.

These keys to keep locally owned Restaurants open, good reviews, referred & return customers,

 inspired us to create the Specialties For 2

for our Host Resort Owners/ Members. 

In 2006 we opened the first "Designated Driver Wine & Town Tour" in Sonoma Wine Country CA. We serviced 12 Hotels plus the Wyndham Resort with a Shuttle Tour Service of 50 Restaurants, "Free" Wine Tasting Rooms, Wineries & Shops in 3 Townships of Santa Rosa, Windsor & Healdsburg, Ca.

Providing this very popular "Wine & Town Tour" inspired us to look further into how to create a "Restaurant & Town Tour" Guide Online, however,  the creation & reception of current Mobile technologies was necessary to bring this idea to life. 

In the meantime, in 2009 we created a  "Mailer Community Guide" offering Savings from selected places to 12,500 households in their area zip code region.

This inspired our navigation within our Placebooks to be divided by Regions or Town Placebooks, so visitors could discover Places within Places that they may not have discovered before & may want to continue to include these Places with more discoveries in their future  journeys with us as their Guide.

Our " Town Tour" Guides

 In working both sides of the desk in all aspects of the Resort Industry since 1992, we've seen the frustration of giving & receiving a satisfactory answer to requests for Restaurant Recommendations, as it can be an overwhelming, time-consuming task for both the Concierge & the Vacationer.

We discovered that each QR code could be individually designed to track the Place it originated from easily.

This allows us to show results for the restaurants & reward concierges for referring Placebook to their guests with our Post-cards.

With the onset of the Pandemic in 2020 the use of QR codes became necessary for most restaurants & remains a useful innovation today. 

This readily receptive technology inspired us to use QR code technology to make access to our Community of Restaurants quick & easy for both the Concierge & the Vacationer.
